There are creative ways to use online resources to find companies that are now hiring. This article focuses on how to use a few Google strategies for your job search that you may not be familiar with.

These methods have the potential to find jobs that aren?t listed in the job boards, especially early in the employer?s hiring process. The following job search tips will help you expand your search for employer?s now hiring. A key?search strategy is find companies that are hiring now or have plans to hire in the near future.

These techniques work to find companies with plans to hire right away. You can build high-quality job search criteria in the regular Google search. One of the best ways to use Google is to use the Advanced search feature.

The advanced search?will allow you to add criteria for companies hiring this week (or any date range you prefer) by adding the Date?criteria to your search query. The date option can be found in the lower left side of the Google search box. There is great flexibility to search by job or use a job title in your search, or many different combinations to help you quickly find companies now hiring.

You might want to use terms such as the following list. This list is by no means all you can use, but these terms are some of the most common used. I would recommend you try your job search in both the ?all these words? search box as well as trying them in ?this exact wording or phrase? search box. Google Alerts will deliver news to your email in-box based on specific search terms that might provide you with information about company plans to hire that are in the news and/or being written about across the entire online world. You can experiment with various key words during your job search, but as I mentioned above, I highly?recommend that you start with simply the word ?hiring.?

You will find the results returned with include information that is not relevant to you, on the other hand many companies that have immediate hiring plans will announce that to the media and when that happens, you will find links to those stories. I have an alert using this word set up and as I wrote this article today, I discovered the top 10 companies hiring this week as well as a link to a technology company that was hiring. Also included was information about?areas of the US that expected job gains in the immediate future.

Using Google reader to find companies now hiring

Google Reader can provide similar information to Google Alerts, expect you get information returned to you in various categories depending on how you structure your personal reader. These are informational articles that come from your subscriptions to RSS/News feeds on websites that are most likely to provide you with information on the topics of your choice.

When using Google search ? as described above ? and you find a website that seems likely to provide you with ongoing information to help you find a job, especially from companies now hiring, then look for an? RSS feed icon or link and subscribe to that feed and choose Google Reader to view the results. If you have already chosen a news reader other than Google, just subscribe using that reader to get the same job search results.
