Chico Mann's 2010 release Analog Drift was the most played album on KCRW for several weeks after its release. KCRW has been championing Afrobeat music since as far back as the early '80s, so it's no surprise that Chico Mann's combination of electronic dance music and traditional Afrobeat and Latin influences proved irresistible to the station's DJs.

We were all looking forward to Chico Mann's visit to the studio for a live set on Morning Becomes Eclectic, and the band ? led by first-generation Cuban American Marcos Garcia ? did not disappoint.
