The meaning and philosophy of art

It is difficult to know exactly what art is classified. A beautifully rendered portrait often than the art, unless mass produced and sold as decorative accessories at a great sale. On the other hand, a bowl or cup, or other functional element, it is used only for display, to be considered art. The problem of how to determine whether a work of art has become very political, especially with Governments often financeCareer with the taxpayers' money.

Define the art has become especially difficult in the twentieth century, when photography, humanity has the ability, the essence of a near-perfect situation to capture. Up to this point, the art is often its ability to replicate the reality has been assessed. Once the cameras and video recorders later spread wide, a person's ability to play the reality was not as important as the ideas of the message, emotion andSignificance.

The famous British philosopher, has defined the problem of art as a separate three approaches. The realist approach assumes that art and beauty of independent values. According to the realist is a standard, what is art that is independent of the people, and therefore universal.

On the contrary, the relativistic view that the definition of art is determined entirely by human experience and values. In this system, a work of art in a culturewould not be a work of art in another, and what a person sees how beauty can be defined by another as a mere object.

The third, objectivist view defines art as an object of human criteria and independent. This school of thought is the compromise between the other two extremes. For objectivist art pure, and its definition is largely independent of personal views. However, it is influenced by the common experience of all human culturesand society.

For many philosophers, the art has different meanings. For some it is simply a form of mimesis, or replication of other things in reality. This is particularly pronounced in the ancient classical theories, like that of Aristotle.

For others, like Leo Tolstoy, art is a form of indirect communication, where messages are transmitted in a figurative. Others see the art not as mere communication but as the transmission ofFeelings and emotions through physical media. In this way art exists primarily in the mind of the Creator.

In recent times the definition of art was strongly influenced by the philosopher Immanuel Kant. His ideas of personal reality, and independent perspectives to respond is of crucial importance for the understanding of how we see and interact with the world. According to Kant, the only thing we can know how you react to an object, and we can not say objectivelyObject itself. In this way art exists in the minds of viewers as much as in that of the Creator.

Defining art is one of the most difficult philosophical challenges. Everyone has an opinion about the beauty, and most of these opinions contradict each other. If you embed the money, politics and power in the equation, it is difficult to give a definition of the integrated light can be seen in the foreseeable future.
