Retail sales rose at the lowest rate of the year, with analysts speculating that Easter sales and mild March weather pulled customers into stores earlier, reports Bloomberg.
The .1 percent gain in April followed a .7 percent increase in March. Categories like building materials, clothing and department stores dropped last month, and slow employment growth also had an impact on April sales.
